Workplace integration and neurodivergence support - Neurodiversity Spark

Contract of Respect (for members)

Welcome to Spark.
This Contract of Respect sets out what we ask of everyone who takes part in our community. It is designed to keep people safe, to promote inclusion, and to protect the dignity of everyone who shares their experience.

Our values
We are inclusive, respectful and lived-experience led. We value honesty, humility and care. We aim for curiosity rather than judgement, and we welcome difference.

What we ask of members

Be respectful and kind.

Treat people as you would want to be treated.

Respect confidentiality.

Do not share personal details, messages or session content outside the group unless you have clear permission.

Use trigger warnings.

Give a short warning when content could be upsetting, and a one line note about the content.

Accessibility first.

Use clear short paragraphs, avoid ALL CAPS, add brief descriptions for images when you can, and tell us what adjustments you need.

No professional advice.

This group offers peer support, not medical, legal or financial advice. If you need professional help, ask for signposting.

No unsolicited promotion.

Do not promote products, services, fundraising or recruitment unless you have prior written permission from Spark.

No discrimination or abuse.

Racist, sexist, transphobic, ableist or other abusive language is not allowed. We act on reports.

Step away if needed.

If a session or thread is difficult, you may leave without explanation. Facilitators will respect your choice.

How we enforce the contract
Moderators may edit or remove posts, warn members, or temporarily or permanently remove membership for breaches. Serious concerns will be escalated to our safeguarding leads, and if required, to statutory services.

How to report
If you have a concern, DM a facilitator, or email gary@neurodiversityspark.com or safeguarding@neurodiversityspark.com. In emergencies call 999. For urgent emotional support in the UK and ROI call Samaritans on 116 123.

A note on privacy
We will keep reports confidential, except where we must share information with statutory services to keep someone safe. You can request to see or remove your personal data. Email gary@neurodiversityspark.com for more information.
