Neurodiversity Spark

Accessibility and Adjustments Guide

How we make Spark accessible and how to request adjustments.

Our aim
We want Spark to be accessible and inclusive. Tell us what you need and we will do our best to provide it.

Supports we offer

  • Captions for live sessions.
  • Transcripts or summary notes after sessions.
  • Low-stimulus or quiet session options.
  • Agendas and materials shared in advance.
  • Slower pacing and longer pauses.
  • Option to use chat instead of voice.
  • A chaperone or support worker on request.
  • Alternative formats such as large text or plain text summaries.

How to request adjustments

  • Post in Help & Accessibility, DM a facilitator or email daria@neurodiversityspark.com.
  • Say briefly what you need, for example, “I need captions and a PDF of slides.”
  • For complex needs we will arrange a short private call to plan.

In sessions

  • Facilitators will start with a safety check and confirm available adjustments.
  • Agendas will be shared before sessions when possible.
  • Tell us during a session if a format or pace is not working for you.

Guidance for members

  • Use short paragraphs and clear language.
  • Add short descriptions for images where you can.
  • If posting audio or video, include a brief summary.
  • Organisers should include accessibility details in event posts.
